So what's best for your situation? A six foot or eight foot picnic table? I'll tell you my opinions on both as a builder.
Chairs:This is a problem that greets many new picnic table owners, as they bring their items home for the first time. The excitement wears off when its color glows on the patio, and you find yourself with just as much of a problem as a solution. But knowing the problem is the first step towards figuring out a solution. And because it is made of hardwood, your options are many on how to make it work for your patio set.Furniture required in patio:For sitting. Wide variety of garden features with different combinations is offered by companies. In seating patio furniture, sets of four chairs with a table and a parasol are offered as a base of patio furniture with different designs and fabrics.A whole outdoor fireplace may constitute an outdoor kitchen with wood fire ovens for making meals and enjoying parties on small or grand scale.Perhaps you are going for a theme with your patio that your picnic table needs to fit in. Everything, including the deck, fits into a certain color scheme. The great advantage to buying a wood picnic table is that you can always paint it to the color you want it to be. When purchasing a paint for your picnic table, make sure that it is a water sealing paint, that will preserve the wood underneath. Painting a hardwood picnic table allows the ultimate customization for your picnic table, as you can add any design or theme you want. Paint on the colors of your favorite sports team, alma mater, or whatever else you can think of its yours to customize! And changing it is as easy as sanding it down, and restarting all over again.
The last point to talk about is the staining. While the size of the table makes no difference to this decision, it still needs to be made when you buy your picnic table regardless of size. From the moment you get a picnic table and put it outside, the elements are going to start chipping away at it. For an extra couple of dollars you can buy some stain and waterproofing and spend an afternoon getting a tan and taking care of your new purchase. If that's not your cup of tea, a few extra dollars more and your builder will be more than happy to do it for you. After all, if you like handcrafted furniture... you want to keep that wood pretty.
